The MyHexColor project has been created by Damien van Holten and Bart Veraart. A designer and web developer from the Netherlands who are exploring what colors mean to people.
This project allows you to pick any color, buy it, name it and link it to your website. In doing so, you are giving the color an identity. The sold colors will be featured on our homepage and the all sold colors page, they will link directly to your website.
For example, you might purchase the color #5edd36 for $1 and name it 'Spring time green'. The color #5edd36 will then be yours and provide to your site and more information about the color. You'll also get some cool badges to show off your color. Take a look at these example badges for Banana Yellow.
About the creators
Damien is a front-end developer with a passion for design and web standards. His day job involves working for clients around the world who need kick-ass code. Damien loves watching movies in the dark and tea with lots of milk.
Bart has been a professional web developer for over 9 years. These days his main focus is application design and development. Bart has an unhealthy addiction to coffee and enjoys walking around the office on his socks.
